First of all, a big well done to the boys in the matches against Thornbury and a thank you to the parents for the support. Losing 5-1 and 4-0 to a well organized side who train mid week is no bad thing. We started the second match with them running in a try right from the start and rather than letting our heads drop, we picked up the tempo and played some really good rugby. The fixtures was sprung on us some what which was a shame because we had not really been preparing for a match so soon and it showed as Thornbury were better prepared and drilled in the breakdown.

I had to give the player of the week to Alex Goodwin for, despite his size, being the best exponent of one of my mantras, running FORWARDS. So well done to him for that.
